Voice of RSR: Straight from the heart

My name is Rayasam Srinivas Rao (RSR). I am an author, translator, and blogger. My website is a place where I intend to share my thoughts on topics I am passionate about. These include Telugu and English literature (especially the genre of short stories), details of the books I have published (mainly translations of Telugu stories into English), a peek into the stories I have translated, and my perspectives on society, leadership, patriotism, and nation building.

My Profile

I spent three decades in the IT services industry from 1987 to 2017, mostly in Wipro Limited in senior global leadership roles across geographies like the USA, Europe and Asia Pacific. I served clients in verticals like Automotive and Life Sciences. In my last role at Wipro, I was the vice president and head of India and Middle East business for Manufacturing SBU. I was also the location head of Wipro’s Hyderabad Development Centre from 2011 to 2016.

After quitting Wipro, I served as the COO of HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association) from 2017 until the end of 2022. I championed the cause of the Hyderabad IT industry and the nearly 300 members of HYSEA by driving various initiatives in areas like CSR, Sustainability, Leadership Development, Infrastructure Development in the IT corridor, liaising with the government, Technical Skill Development Job Creation, Helping SMEs, etc.

I am an MCA from the University of Delhi and a PGDBA from Bangalore University. I live in Hyderabad, India, with my wife, Anuradha, a senior academic professional.

Telugu literature, especially the short story genre, has always fascinated me. It has been my passion to translate great Telugu short stories into English and introduce them to global readers. I made two attempts so far and more such efforts will surely follow.
